Feril Hariat

Researcher — Water Engineering, S.T., M.Eng.

Feril Hariati is a lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Ibn Khaldun Bogor, specialising in coastal and water engineering. She obtained her M.Eng. from UNESCO-IHE, Delft.

She provides the technical and engineering side of CRPG’s work, pairing legal and policy analysis with hydraulic and infrastructure assessment. She served as CRPG’s vice director during the AIIRA programme on the regulation of community water and sanitation, and is part of the CRPG team on the CSIRO-funded Serayu–Opak surface and groundwater assessment.

Her research includes community-based clean water supply provision (FT UIKA/Yasmina, 2013), the economics of climate change in Pacific islands (ADB–CCROM IPB, 2011), climate change impacts on developed wetland in Banyuasin (Ministry of Public Works–CCROM, 2010), and lead authorship on Indonesia’s Second National Communication under the UNFCCC (GEF-UNDP, 2010).
