Dyah Paramita

Senior Researcher, S.H., LL.M.

Dyah Paramita (“Mita”) is a Senior Researcher at CRPG, working on environmental law, mining and chemicals regulation, and access to environmental information. She obtained her LL.M. from the Centre for Energy, Petroleum, Mineral Law and Policy, University of Dundee (2009) on a Chevening Scholarship, with a dissertation on access to environmental information towards good governance in mining, and her law degree from Universitas Diponegoro.

Before joining CRPG she was a researcher at the Indonesian Center for Environmental Law (ICEL), where she coordinated programmes on the right to information for people and the environment, transparency in the oil and gas draft law, mercury management, and post-mining closure policy. She was on the public defender team for the Buyat Bay pollution case.

At CRPG she co-leads water tenure and river basin governance work, including the Cimanuk Water Tenure Assessment for FAO and CRPG’s engagement on the Serayu–Opak basin.
